Bellator 74 Main Card Set With Season 7 Welterweight Tournament, Good-Wallhead Headlining

Bellator will take to Caesar’s Atlantic City in New Jersey on September 28. The card will be the Season 7 premier. Bellator 74 will prominently feature the promotion’s 170 lb. division as the welterweight tournament kicks off on the live MTV 2 telecast at 8pm (EST).

Headlining the bill will be a clash between former Bellator Welterweight Champion Lyman Good (12-2) and  Jim Wallhead (23-6). Good is currently 5-2 in the Bellator cage with losses to current BFC Welterweight Champion Ben Askren and Season 6 Lightweight Tournament Champion Rick Hawn. The Team Tiger member most recently obliterated LeVon Maynard in a mere 13 seconds at Bellator 65. “Judo” Jim has won 10 of his last 11 bouts, with the sole loss coming at the hands of the aforementioned Rick Hawn. The Brit’s most recent run has seen him defeat UFC veteran Frank Trigg and Strikeforce Veteran Joey Villasenor under the Bamma banner.

Rounding out the tournament is Russian prospect Andrey Koreshkov (10-0) facing off with Jordan Smith (17-3-1), Michail Tsarev (23-2) meeting Tim Welch (9-3), and former DREAM Welterweight Champion Marius Zaromskis (18-6) going to war with Nordine Taleb (8-1).
