A middleweight rematch between Alan Belcher and Yushin Okami has found itself nicely situated on the main card of UFC 155. The two middleweights first met at UFC 62, where “Thunder’ would take home a unanimous decision. This time around, it’s “The Talent” that’s surging as Belcher enters the octagon on the strength of four consecutive wins. Okami, however, recently rebounded from a two-fight skid.
Featured on the evening’s prelims will be the return of Chris Leben as “The Crippler” will face off with Karlos Vemola. The Ultimate Fighter veteran is coming off of a yearlong suspension after a failed drug test following a UFC 138 loss to Mark Munoz. Also on the FX portion of the bill is a highly promising bantamweight tilt that will see Brad Pickett and Eddie Wineland slug it out in what many are assuming is a title eliminator.
UFC 155 takes place December 29 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada and will serve as the promotion’s year-end event.
