UFC lightweight Gray Maynard has been forced out of upcoming bout with Joe Lauzon due to injury. Fellow perennial contender Jim Miller will step again against Lauzon for the year-end card. UFC officials announced the change earlier this evening via twitter.
Miller will be looking to right the ship when faces Lauzon after dropping two of his last three versus the members of the UFC on Fox 5 main event in lightweight champion Benson Henderson and Nate Diaz. Miller. The 1-2 run ended a seven-fight win-streak for the New Jersey native.
The UFC’s yearend fight card will take place December 29 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The UFC 155 bill will be headlined by a heavyweight title rematch between UFC heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos and former champion Cain Velasquez.
