UFC 154 Medical Suspensions – Cote & Kampmann Out For 60 Days

After last weekend’s UFC 154 event in Montreal’s Bell Centre, all 24 fighters on the bill have been received medical suspensions. The Quebec Athletic Commission issues minimum suspensions for each fighter on the card, though it does not release detailed information on the reason for the suspension, unlike other commissions.

Topping the list are Patrick Cote and Martin Kampmann, who will both be on the shelf for 60 days. The heavy-handed Canadian middleweight took  a disqualification win against Alessio Sakara, a bout that saw Cote battered about the cage after a big elbow from the Italian. Unfortunately for Sakara, a series of strikes to the back of the head would see him disqualified.  “The Hitman” suffered a 46-second knockout loss to Johny Hendricks in a welterweight title eliminator that served as the evening’s co-main event. .
