For former UFC fighter Dennis Hallman, the old adage of “when it rains, it pours” seems to be holding true. The recently released fighter’s home was burned to the ground shortly before Thanksgiving. Hallman tweeted the unfortunate news on Thursday.
Hallman was released from the promotion after failing to make weight prior to UFC on FX 5. Hallman had been struggling with personal issues related to his wife, who is allegedly dealing with a drug addiction, and it affected his training to the point that he was unable to focus. Hallman would receive his show pay after explaining his situation to UFC President Dana White.
Hallman had been looking to take care of his personal issues and return to the regional circuit before this latest unfortunate incident befell him and his family.
Longtime friend Benji Radach has set up a fundraiser for Hallman and his family. If you would would like to contribute, click here.
