Michael Kuiper just can’t catch a break. After a recent announcement that Josh Janousek would be stepping in to face the Dutchman, his third replacement opponent, it seemed as though the worst was over. Unfortunately, that was not the case as Janousek has now been injured, forcing “Judo” off of this weekend’s UFC on Fox 6 bout.
UFC.com released a statement breaking down the tumultuous period for Kuiper.
Janousek was a late-notice replacement for opponent Buddy Roberts; Roberts had been a replacement for Caio Magalhaes; and Magalhaes was tapped to fight Kuiper when original opponent Thiago Bodao was injured. With the bout less than a week away, no replacement will be named.
UFC on FOX 6 takes place this Saturday at The United Center in Chicago, Illinois and is headlined by Demetrious Johnson defending his newly minted UFC Flyweight Championship against John Dodson.
