In The Scrum: UFC 156

Dana White 2013Behind UFC 156, which took place in in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Mandalay Bay Events Center, UFC President Dana White sat down with various members of the MMA media community to discuss a number of topics and reflect on the event.
  • White thought that Rashad Evans and Alistair Overeem looked terrible.
  • In so many words, Dana White wants Kim Winslow’s head on a spit for her egregious stand-up during the Green/Volkmann bout.
  • Bobby Green will get a bonus aside from “Submission of The Night”.
  • “The lower Frankie (Edgar) goes (in weight), the happier I get.”
  • Jose Aldo vs. Anthony Pettis will likely happen.
  • Dana wants to do “Korean Zombie” vs. Ricardo Lamas to determine the next contender following Pettis, but Chang Sung Jung is out until May.
  • Chris Weidman will likely be facing Anderson Silva in the summer.
  • Joe Silva has been dealing with Josh Barnett, things have been going well.
  • “I would be shocked if Daniel Cormier decided to fight Cain Velasquez.”
  • With an evil grin, the UFC president insinuates that he has something big planned for the UFC 157 build.
  • White feels Rashad has lost his hunger.
  • Melendez vs Henderson is officially signed.

  • Apparently there’s still no end to the Dana White vs Frank Shamrock feud.
