World Series of Fighting has announced a headlining bout as well as a location for their second promotional offering. WSOF 2 is now slated to take place at the Revel Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and features a hard-hitting heavyweight main event that pits Andrei Arlovski against Anthony Johnson.
Arlovski (19-9) is undefeated in his last five fights. “The Pitbull” headlined the inaugural WSOF event in November, taking a knockout victory over Devin Cole. The former UFC Champion most recently defeated Bellator veteran Mike Hayes in December.
Johnson (14-4) was also a part of the the promotion’s debut event, knocking D.J. Linderman out cold in the opening stanza of their light heavyweight bout. “Rumble”, who has historically had weight cutting issues, will be moving up to the heavyweight division for this bout. The one-time UFC welterweight has gone undefeated since his release in January of 2012, earning four consecutive victories.
World Series of Fighting 2 will air live on NBC Sports, Company President Ray Sefo also reveled that the promotion has signed a longterm deal with the platform.
