Invicta FC 5: Kaufman vs. Smith, Nunes vs. Young, and Hyatt vs. Cive set for April 5

Sarah KaufmanInvicta FC 5 continues to come together as the all-women’s promotion has announced a trio of fights for their fifth foray into MMA. Highlighting the trio is the Invicta FC debut of former Strikeforce bantamweight champion Sarah Kaufman facing off with Leslie Smith.

Also on the card will be fellow Strikeforce vet Amanda Nunes taking on Kaitlin Young. Both fighters will be looking for victories after dropping two of their last three fights.

Popular Aussie Bec Hyatt will also be making her return to the Invicta cage as she takes on Jasminka Cive. Hyatt will look to get back in the win column after dropping a hard-fought decision loss to featherweight champion Carla Esparza. Cive will be traveling from her native Austria to put her undefeated record on the line.

While Invicta FC 5 had initially been planned for April 13 in California, the card has been moved to April 5 at the promotion’s unofficial home venue, the Memorial Hall in Kansas City.
