A heavyweight clash between Travis Browne and Gabriel Gonzaga has been set for The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale. The super-sized matchup will most likely take place on the FX main card. UFC president Dana White announced the matchup earlier today on twitter.
Travis Browne will look to get back in the win column after suffering the first loss of his career this past October against Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva. The big man had to take an extended amount of time off after the fight to repair a torn hamstring. Prior to the loss, Browne was 4-0-1 in the UFC.
Former number one contender Gabriel Gonzaga has won two fights in a row since returning to the UFC last January. Gonzaga recently defeated Ben Rothwell at UFC on FX 7.
The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale will take place April 13 at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.
