The UFC has added an explosive lightweight matchup to May’s UFC 160 as Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone takes on K.J. Noons. The bout will likely take place on the pay-per-view main card. The matchup was announced on UFC Tonight.
UFC lightweight Donald Cerrone is coming off the first TKO loss of his career at UFC on Fox 6 against Anthony Pettis. Cerrone will look to regain the momentum he had prior to the fight. Cerrone has pledged that he is all-in for this fight after an apparent near-death experience while rock climbing. Despite the recent incident, Cerrone is still expected to be on the card.
The “Cowboy” will take on Strikeforce import K.J. Noons in Vegas. Noons is coming to the UFC after a controversial loss to Ryan Couture this past January.
UFC 160 takes place May 25 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The fight card will be headlined by a heavyweight title fight between champion Cain Velasquez and Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva. A bout between Alistair Overeem and Junior dos Santos will co-headline the Memorial Day weekend card.
