Josh Koscheck vs. Robbie Lawler

Rd. 1 – Herb Dean is our referee and we’re off. Kos fakes a takedown and Lawler sprawls hard. Kos ducks a punch and lands a nice takedown. Lawler struggles up but gets caught in a front-head lock and Kos passes it to a double leg and grounds Lawler again. Kos tries to take Lawler’s back but gives it up and hooks a cradle. Kos with some punches to the thigh. Lawler escapes and a few massive shots and the fight is over. Oddly quick finish and Kos protests.

Court McGee vs. Josh Neer

Rd. 1 – Fighters feeling each other out early with McGee getting the better so far. Legkick by McGee. McGee tags him with a left. Big legkick by Neer. McGee with great combos so far. Fighters exchange legkicks. Nice left by McGee. Kick to the body and to the leg my McGee. Court is really digging the body early on. Neer is hurt bad by another brutal body shot and McGee is teeing off now. McGee ends the round going for neck crank. MMAFrenzy scores it 10-8 McGee.

Rd. 2 – Kicks by McGee to the head, leg, and finally body. Another bodykick by McGee after Neer switches stances. McGee catches a Neer kick and uses it to get clinch control. Nice uppercut by Neer. Combo by McGee connects. Strikes are 134-32 McGee according to FightMetric so far, wow. Neer with a pair of good left hooks. Combo by McGee. Solid jab by Neer.Big uppercut to a hook by Neer. McGee combos back and misses a takedown. Body shots by Neer. McGee with another nice series. Anyone’s round with a minute left. Neer with some good shots now. McGee slowing down but still landing. Neer stuffs a takedown. Nice knee by Neer. Stiff jab at the end of the round by McGee. Neer brings it closer but still trails there. MMAFrenzy has it 19-18 McGee.

Rd 3- Good jab by Neer is answered by a solid McGee combo. McGee in on a takedown. McGee gives it up and starts throwing short punches and Neer ties up the arm. McGee with a diving takedown off a Neer miss. Neer gives up his back. Neer is out briefly but McGee with a nice takedown.Neer tries a leglock and Court bombs away. Neer throws his legs up for a triangle but McGee passes it. McGee tries for the choke but Neer works out with :30 left. Neer’s face is swelling up badly. The clapper sounds and McGee lands a a few more shots before the round ends. MMAFrenzy scores the round, and the fight, to McGee (29-27).

Urijah Faber vs. Ivan Menjivar

Rd. 1 – Urijah charges in quickly but gets launched in a head-and-arm throw. Faber quickly recovers and reverses into Mejivar’s guard. Menjivar throws his legs up but it’s not there. Big elbows and punches by Faber now. Big upkick by Menjivar. Faber works back down and he lands another big shot. Menjivar escapes to his feet but Faber jumps on his back sideways before adjusting to standing back mount. Faber hooks a standing rear-naked choke and it’s over.

Dan Henderson vs. Lyoto Machida

Rd. 1 – Touch of gloves and we’re off. Legkicks by Hendo missing so far. Finally lands a nice one and misses a big right. Front kick to the face by Machida is blocked. Hendo has thrown his main combo three times already, inside legkick to overhand right. Machida is testing his defenses early. Front kick to the hip by Machida. Hendo is caught coming in. Great combo by Machida counters Hendo. Nice right connects as Hendo advances. Hendo is getting frustrated. Dan clips Machida but nothing flush. Dan clinches but Machida escapes. Gorgeous footsweep takedown by Machida at the end of the round and he lands a big right elbow as the round ends. MMAFrenzy scores it 10-9 Machida.

Rd. 2 – Machida with a headkick early. Legkick by by Dan. Huge body kick by Machida catches Hendo and he stumbles. Frontkick to the face by Machida and Hendo nearly catches it but Machida disappears. Nice combo by Machida and he evades a big right by Hendo. Inside legkick by Dan. Brutal knee catches Hendo advancing in. Machida  is doing a great job of evading Hendo’s big right. Big body kick by Machida and nice knee by Hendo. Big shot from Machida trips up Hendo. Another nice knee by Machida when Hendo advances. Hendo clips him with a left but Machida again makes him pay as he advances. Hendo storms forward again but misses twice. Spinning back kick to the body by Machida. Hendo is frustrated as the round ends. MMAFrenzy scores it 10-9 Machida (20-18).

Rd. 3- Touch of gloves and we’re off for the final round.Wicked body kick to straight left by Machida lands. Hendo lands a takedown and Machida ties him up in the guard. Hendo is peppering away but not landing much. Dan is getting over exposed here but recovers normal guard. Machida attacks with a kimura and escapes to his feat. Legkick by Machida. Push kick by Machida. Hendo isn’t pressing at all. Machida with a right that lands. Jumping front-kick to face by Machida. Headkick by Machida. Right by Machida as Hendo hits air. MMAFrenzy scores it 10-10, but the fight to Machida (30-28).

Lyoto Machida def. Dan Henderson via split decision (29-28,28-29,29-28)

UFC Women’s Bantamweight Title Fight: Ronda Rousey vs. Liz Carmouche

Rd. 1 – This historic fight will fittingly be refereed by “Big” John McCarthy. No feeling out period as Ronda immediately attacks. Rousey with a good upper cut and she lands a head-and-arm throw. Carmouche rotates out and takes Ronda’s back. Liz is digging the choke to a neck crank. Rousey manages to shake her off. Up-and-down position here. Rousey with punches and upkicks by Carmouche. Liz tries a heelhook but Rousey rotates out and hooks up a head-arm position. Punches from the position by Rousey. Knees from the bottom now and an inverted triangle attempt by Carmouche. Flawless armbar setup by Rousey and Carmouche is defending well with :20 left. Wow. There it goes with only a few seonds left in the round.
