A rough week for Bellator featherweight Daniel Straus has gotten worse as the fighter was arrested in Florida on drug charges and traffic charges. Straus was arrested Friday in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
The talented featherweight is currently being held on charges of driving with a suspended license, possession of more than 20-grams of marijuana, possession of MDMA (commonly known as ecstasy), and possession/use of drug paraphernalia. Straus is currently being held at the North Broward Bureau detention center on $2,200 bail.
Straus, who trains with ATT Coconut Creek, recently broke his hand and was forced out of his Bellator 95 bout with featherweight champion Pat Curran. The Cincinnati-native was replaced by Shahbulat Shamhaelev.
