Top online betting website Bodog.com has just began to roll out their odds for this weekends UFC 71 event. In the past the website has done straight odds for the fights but they appear to be adding a new format as well, although the actual odds haven’t been added to the website yet.
The new form of adds are much more specific and include picking a winner for a fight as well as the round it will end if it is a stoppage or the decision if the fight goes all 3 rounds. You can also now place bets on the fight being a draw and whether or not the fight will begin a given round. This new format now gives you double digit betting options on each fight which means there will be nearly 200 total different options for this event alone compared to 18 per event in the past.
As far as actual odds go, Bodog has released odds on just 2 of the fights:
- Chuck Liddell (-190) vs. Quinton Jackson (+155)
- Karo Parisyan (-325) vs. Josh Burkman (+250)
Not enough to do a full best bets article on just yet but with the lines so close on the main event a bet there is simply recreational although I do like Parisyan in the other bout. I will have a full “Best Bets” recommendations up as soon as full lines are released.
