Terry Martin will face The Ultimate Fighter veteran Chris Leben at UFC Fight Night 11 this September.
After fighting in a variety of MMA organizations including the UFC, WEC, King of the Cage, and Extreme Challenge and racking up a 16-2 overall record he has garnered wide respect in the MMA community, specifically for his knockout power. His 2 carrer losses came in his first 2 UFC fights against James Irvin at UFC 54 and Jason Lambert at UFC 59. After winning 2 fights outside of the UFC Martin made his return at UFC 67 in February with a KO win over Jorge Rivera. He scored another UFC win over veteran Ivan Salaverry at UFC 71.
Leben appeared on The Ultimate Fighter’s first season and, after being defeated twice during the show, returned on the finale to defeat Jason Thacker. He went on a winning streak defeating Patrick Cote, Edwin Dewees, Jorge Rivera, and Luigi Fioravanti before Anderson Silva defeated him at UFC Fight Night 5. Leben returned with a win over Jorge Santiago but consecutive losses to Jason MacDonald and Kalib Starnes in his two most recent fights have nearly pushed him out of the UFC.
For unknown reasons Leben turned down a main event at the same event against Mike Swick. Swick will instead face Jonathan Goulet in the UFC Fight Night 11 main event.
