The World Series of Fighting has announced a new TV show with broadcast partner NBC Sports Network dubbed World Series of Fighting: Future Champions. The show will focus on the rising talent in the WSOF and debut April 13 at 7PM ET on NBCSN. WSOF officials told MMAFrenzy of the news earlier today.
The show’s 30-minute premiere will showcase an unaired preliminary bout from WSOF 2 featuring Ozzy Dugulubgov taking on Chris Wade.
The show will return Friday, April 26 with a 150-pound catchweight bout between Brenson Hansen and Tom Marcellino.
WSOF president Ray Sefo sees the move as the next step in the promotion’s growing relationship with the network, saying:
“We are excited to take our partnership with NBC Sports Network to the next level and complement our live event programming with library fights featuring World Series of Fighting’s fast-growing roster of emerging, young stars and future champions”
