UFC on Fox 8 has a new fight as a women’s bantamweight scrap between Julie Kedzie and Germaine de Randamie will land on the July card. No official word on where the bout will land on the fight card. UFC officials announced the move Wednesday night.
Julie Kedzie was last in action at Strikeforce: Rousey vs. Kaufman, where she engaged in one of the best bouts of 2012 with Miesha Tate. While Kedzie would come up short in that bout, she would still rightfully get the call to join the UFC when the promotion added the women’s division. Her opponent, Germaine de Randamie, is one of the better strikers in WMMA. The former Muay Thai champion is currently 3-2 in MMA, and will be dropping to bantamweight for the first time since 2011.
UFC on Fox 8 marks the UFC’s return to Seattle after successful cards each of the last two years. The fight card will take place July 27 at the KeyArena. No main event has been named at this time, however UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson (a Washington native) is aiming to return from injury on the July fight card.
UFC on Fox 8 Fight Card:
- Jake Ellenberger vs. Rory MacDonald
- Robbie Lawler vs. Tarec Saffiedine
- Mac Danzig vs. Melvin Guillard

- Julie Kedzie vs. Germaine de Randamie
