UFC on FOX 8: Chiesa vs. Madadi Set

Reza Medadi

A lightweight scrap between Michael Chiesa and Reza Madadi has been set for UFC on FOX 8. The two fighters will likely square off on the evening’s undercard. UFC officials announced the pairing earlier today.

Washington-native Michael Chiesa was last in action at UFC 157, where he defeated Anton Kuivanen. The Ultimate Fighter Live champion will put his undefeated record on the line when he takes on Sweden’s Reza Madadi. “Mad Dog” was last in action at UFC on FUEL TV 9, where he defeated Michael Johnson with a thrilling comeback victory

UFC on Fox 8 marks the UFC’s return to Seattle after successful cards each of the last two years. The fight card will take place July 27 at the KeyArena. No main event has been named at this time, however UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson (a Washington native) is aiming to return from injury on the July fight card. A welterweight bout between Jake Ellenberger and Rory MacDonald will serve as the evening’s co-main event.
