The Nevada State Athletic Commission has released the attendance and gate figures for the recent TUF 17 Finale, which went down April 13th at the Mandalay Bay Events Center.
According to the numbers the NSAC has sent out, 5,918 fans attended the event, however, 536 of those people received complimentary tickets. 223 seats went unsold.
The gate for the card, which was broadcast on FX and FUEL TV, was $569, 075.
The TUF 17 Finale was headlined by a bantamweight bout between Urijah Faber and Scott Jorgensen, and saw Faber win the entertaining fight via a fourth round, rear-naked-choke.
In the actual TUF 17 Finale, Kelvin Gastelum derailed the massive hype train that accompanied Uriah Hall into the event, by handing the feared striker a split decision loss. As a result of the win, Gastelum took home “Ultimate Fighter” honors for the show’s seventeenth season as well as a $100,000 contract.
Some of the other winners on the night included Travis Browne, Cat Zingano and Bubba McDaniel.
