UFC 160 Medical Suspensions: Seven Fighters Out Six Months

The Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) has released the full list of medical suspensions for UFC 160. A whopping seven fighters would receive possible six month suspensions, including co-main even combatant Mark Hunt.

Among the notable injuries were main card fighters Glover Teixeira and Gray Maynard, who each received lengthy suspensions for their respective injuries sustained last Saturday. The suspension is particularly frustrating for Teixeira, who has struggled with hand issues throughout his career.

FX preliminary fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov received a six-month layoff due to a knee injury sustained during his bout with Abel Trujillo. The injury makes his dominant display of grappling all the more impressive, but further slows the growing prospects rise after already missing weight for Saturday’s show.

As always, a fighter can be cleared to fight earlier than their initial suspension of they are cleared by a doctor.
