UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre will put his title on the line against Johny Hendricks on November 16 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The show will mark the UFC’s 20th anniversary. The announcement was made on Tuesday’s episode of UFC Tonight.
St-Pierre and Hendricks punched their tickets to face each other at UFC 158. St-Pierre retained his title that night by defeating Nick Diaz via decision. Hendricks punched his ticket to face the champ by besting Carlos Condit in one of the better bouts of 2013.
The November 16 card will mark the 20th anniversary of UFC 1, which took place November 12 at the since demolished McNichols Sports Arena in Denver, Colorado. The card saw Royce Gracie submit his way through an eight-man field.
