Over the weekend it was reported what fighters like Anderson Silva and Frankie Edgar could make at UFC 162 on Saturday, and now the Nevada State Athletic Commission has released all the salaries for the historic event, which went down at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
Silva, as reported he would if he lost, took home $600,000 for his tilt with Chris Weidman, while the newly crowned champ earned $48,000 for his KO win. Weidman also picked up an extra 50K for securing “Knockout of the Night”, but any performance bonus or pay-per-view revenue a fighter may have collected isn’t included in the NSAC figures.
Former lightweight champ Frankie Edgar took home $240,000 (including a 120 grand win bonus) for handing Charles Oliveira a UD loss, who earned 21K on the night.
Some of the card’s other top earners included Tim Kennedy, who was paid 90K for his decision win over Roger Gracie, and Mark Munoz, who earned 84K for his UD victory over Tim Boetsch.
