The September 4th, UFC on FS 1 3 card is nearing completion as according to a new report, Lucas Martins will fight Ramiro Hernandez at the event, which would be the 10th fight to be booked for the card to date.
The bantamweight tilt is being reported by the Brazilian outlet Globo.com, however, the UFC has not announced the fight. UFC on FS1 3 will take place at the Estadio Jornalista Felipe Drumond in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
Martins (13-1) will be looking to build on the KO he scored over Jeremy Larsen in May, after being stopped by Edson Barboza at UFC on FX 7 in January. The 24 year-old will be making his debut at bantamweight, after competing at 155 pounds.
Hernandez (13-4), who trains out of the Pat Miletich camp, will be making his Octagon debut. The 26 year-old fighter is coming off victories over Josh Huber and Kevin Croom while competing under the Victory Fighting Championship and Titan Fighting Championship banner respectively. Hernandenz has gone 4-1 in his last five fights.
The addition comes not long after MMA Junkie.com reported that an expected bantamweight tilt between TJ Dillashaw and Raphael Assuncao has been postponed, due to an apparent medical issue with Assuncao.
UFC on FS1 3 will be headlined by a light-heavyweight tilt between Glover Teixeira and Ryan Bader in the main event.
