Lightweights Melvin Guillard and Ross Pearson are set for Manchester on October 26. The two will serve as the co-main event of the evening for UFC Fight Night 30. UFC officials announced the pairing on last night’s edition of UFC Tonight.
Melvin Guillard heads into the bout fresh off his “Knockout of the Night” victory over Mac Danzig at UFC on FOX 8. Guillard originally hoped to fight in his hometown at UFC 166, but has settled for a chance to beat up his opponent in enemy territory.
Pearson comes into the bout looking for his third straight impressive victory since returning to lightweight late last year. In his last outing, Pearson dispatched Ryan Couture in a dominant performance in Sweden at UFC on FUEL TV 9.
UFC Fight Night 30 is scheduled for October 26 at the Manchester Arena in Manchester, England. The fight card will be headlined by a middleweight showdown between top challengers Michael Bisping and Mark Muñoz. While most of the UFC Fight Night cards will normally air on FOX Sports 1, this card will air on FOX Sports 2 (what is now FUEL TV).
