UFC 166 Adds Larsen vs. Grice

Matt Grice

UFC 166 has added a featherweight bout between Jeremy Larsen and Matt Grice. The bout will likely air on the evening’s preliminary card. UFC officials announced the bout on Wednesday.

The meeting will see the two fighters meet in a battle that will likely be for their jobs. Matt Grice heads into the fight off his “Fight of the Year” nominee against Dennis Bermudez. His opponent, Larsen, will be dropping to featherweight after an 0-2 run in the UFC’s lightweight division. Larsen dropped a vicious knockout loss to Lucas Martin this past May at UFC on FX 8.

UFC 166 is headlined by the third fight between UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez and Junior dos Santos. A bout between Daniel Cormier and Roy Nelson will co-headline the billing. The fight card will take place October 19 at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. More bouts are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
