UFC Fight Night 30 Play-by-Play:

Phil Harris vs. John Lineker

Rd. 1- Lineker is pawing with his jab early. Legkick by Lineker. Left hook by Harris lands. Huge right by Lineker floors Harris but he is back up now. Big counter left hook by Lineker wobbles Harris. Harris gets knocked down again by a follow up shot but he is back up now. Lineker is pounding Harris. Huge right hook to the diaphragm by Lineker and Harris is done as the referee jumps in.

John Lineker def. Phil Harris via TKO (body punch) at 2:51 of Round 1

Nicholas Musoke vs. Alessio Sakara

Rd. 1- Sakara hurts Musoke coming in and scores a takedown when Musoke tries to clinch. Musoke catches Sakara now and the Italian tags him bag. Insane opening minute. Musoke with a body clinch takedown but Sakara immediately goes to work with elbows from the guard. Multiple submission attempts from Sakara now before Musoke passes to side control. Sakara recovers half guard and then explodes on top. Big power shots from Sakara now. Nasty elbow by Sakara but a surprise arm bar to a Russian finish by Musoke ends the fight. Wow.

Norman Parke vs. Jon Tuck

Rd. 1- Feeling out process early by both men. Nice left by Parke but he gets nailed by a series of vicious strikes by Tuck. Tuck misses a takedown and lands another left after. Parke calls for a poke but the ref doesn’t see it and Tuck presses the pace. Counter lefts are starting to find their home for Parke. Tuck just misses a head kick. Norman lands a counter again and taunts Tuck. Hard right by Tuck and Parke with a takedown and suplezx to finish the round. MMAFrenzy has it 10-9 Parke.

Rd. 2- Glove touch and we’re off. Parke is stalking him down so far and lands a good left. Wicked body kick by Tuck. Legkick to a hard right by Tuck. Nice combo by Parke. Tuck is starting to slow now and Parke lands a combo. Nasty combo by Parke. Tuck is a step slower and Parke’s left is killing him now. Jumping knee by Tuck. Combo by Parke and Tuck tries a superman punch off the cage. Wicked left by Parke stuns Tuck. Action slows as the round ends. MMAFrenzy has it 10-9 Parke.

Rd. 3- Tuck shows more of a sense of urgency early on. Overhand left lands from Parke. Tuck tags Parke but Parke recovers and responds well. Parke with a combo that dislodges Tuck’s mouthpiece. Tuck looks exhausted in the cage now. Nice combination by Parke.Parke with a nice left hand as he stalks Tuck around the cage. Body to head combo by Parke. Parke with a combo and a wheel kick attempt before the round ends. MMAFrenzy has it 10-9 Parke (30-27)

Norman Parke def. Jon Tuck via unanimous decision (29-28,29-28,30-27)

Ryan Jimmo vs. Jimi Manuwa

Rd. 1- Jimmo is coming out swinging early. Big body kick by Jimmo and Manuwa catches it. Jimmo controls the clinch now against the cage. Nothing significant lands along the cage and the ref breaks them up. Hard strikes by Manuwa before Jimmo clinches again but this time Manuwa has control. Knees to the thighs by Manuwa. Jimmo pummels in and seizes control in the clinch. Jimmo with some knees but he loses his control and Manuwa with more hard knees to the thighs. Wicked leg kick by Manuwa off the break. Manuwa is starting to find his range now.Nasty left hand by Manuwa and Jimmo is now having to battle back. MMAFrenzy has it 10-9 Manuwa.

Rd. 2- Jimmo immediately looks to clinch and he gets it. Light knees by Jimmo before he lands a good one. Few light knees and the ref breaks them up. Wicked body kick by Manuwa. Stepin jab by Jimmo is answered by a tough leg kick. Body kick by Jimmo. Manuwa controls the clinch briefly but gets reversed. Fight is stopped for an accidental lowblow by Manuwa. Jimmo back in clinch control off the restart and the ref breaks them. Manuwa with a few strikes and a clinch. Fighters separate and Manuwa with a knee to the head and Jimmo tries to bounce it off. Jimmo’s leg gives out and it looks like a foot injury is ending this one.

Melvin Guillard vs. Ross Pearson

Rd. 1- Touch of gloves and we’re off quickly. Perason with a leg kick. Guillard ruses but nothing is there. Guillard checks a kick but is loading his counters. Legkick by Pearson. Guillard tags Pearson but he shakes it off and returns fire. Guillard connects again but Pearson eats it. Knee to the body by Melvin. Pearson jumps to a flying knee and Guillard takes him down. Huge knees in the scramble and the first looks good but a second knee that lands is illegal as Pearson went down. Break in the fight but the fight is ended due to the cut the second knee opened up. Awkard end to the fight.

Melvin Guillard vs. Ross Pearson deemed no contest (unintentional foul) at 1:57 of Round 1

Lyoto Machida vs. Mark Muñoz

Rd. 1- Machida looks extremely fit at 185. Both fighters are taking time to figure each other out with Machida in the Southpaw stance and Muñoz in the orthodox stance. Body kick by Machida as he looked high. Machida has seized the center of the cage. Wicked body kick by Machida. Legkick by Machida. Holy shit head kick THROUGH the check by Muñoz and he is out. Machida doesn’t follow-up out of respect and immediately shows concern for his training partner. Wow, what a debut.
