Four fighters were awarded $50,000 bonuses tonight at UFC Fight Night 30 in Manchester, England. Lyoto Machida, Luke Barnatt, Andrew Craig, and Nicholas Musoke all will go home richer thanks to their efforts tonight at the Manchester Arena. UFC president Dana White announced the bonuses at the UFC Fight Night 30 post-fight press conference.
Machida Pockets “KO of the Night”
Lyoto Machida picked up $50K for his explosive knockout victory over Mark Muñoz tonight in Manchester, England. Machida fired off a wicked head kick just over the midpoint of the first round and it blew through the guard of Muñoz to score the KO win. The bonus is Machida’s fourth in the UFC.
Musoke Awarded “Sub of the Night” in Debut
Nico Musoke picked up a “Submission of the Night” in his Octagon debut tonight against Alessio Sakara. Musoke locked up the submission after a frenetic battle with Sakara that saw both men exchange on their feet and on the ground. Musoke took a big elbow from Sakara to set up the slick submission and will be $50K richer for his efforts.
Barnatt and Craig Earn “Fight of the Night”
Middleweight prospects Luke Barnatt and Andrew Craig picked up $50,000 for their preliminary card fight at UFC Fight Night 30. While Craig appeared in control early, Barnatt roared back at the end of the first and start of the second rounds to finish Craig tonight via submission. The bonus is both men’s first in the Octagon.
