Saturday night’s UFC on FOX 9 drew a reported attendance of 11,573 and a live gate of $1,066,610 to the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, California. The numbers were revealed by UFC president Dana White following last night’s action at the UFC on FOX 9 post-fight press conference.
The FOX-aired main card saw UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson defend his strap with an explosive knockout over rival Joseph Benavidez. While the main event disappointed the partisan crowd, they were thrilled as hometown favorite Urijah Faber dominated highly ranked Michael McDonald in a bout that will likely earn him a title shot.
No number was given to the amounted of compensated tickets issued to tonight’s event, so the current average revenue was $92.16 per ticket issued at UFC on FOX 9.
The California State Athletic Commission is expected to reveal the final figures, including comps, next week.
