The UFC today officially announced the headlining bouts for UFC 92 “The Ultimate 2008″.
As previously rumored, UFC light heavyweight champion Forrest Griffin will battle top 205-pound contender Rashad Evans for the 205-pound title, UFC interim heavyweight champion Antonio “Rodrigo” Nogueira faces fellow-TUF 8 coach Frank Mir for the heavyweight title, and former champions Wanderlei Silva and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson are also scheduled to go toe-to-toe.
UFC 92, which will air live on pay-per-view, takes place on December 27th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

A long-rumored rematch between former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and former PRIDE light heavyweight champion Wanderlei Silva is likely to take place at UFC 93 UFC 94 on January 31st in Las Vegas, according to Yahoo! Sports’ Kevin Iole.

A key light heavyweight matchup between former PRIDE champion Wanderlei Silva and former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson is close to being finalized for UFC 91 on November 15th.
