UFC Middleweight contender Luke Rockhold is looking for a fight and maybe fighting Vitor Belfort next with what he had to say about Belfort.
“I don’t believe anything the guy says and I don’t believe he’s clean,” said Rockhold to MMA Fighting. “I think he’s been dirty his whole career. I’m going to go out there and say that. Whatever. I’m going to be myself. I’m tired of holding back. I’m going to be real. The real MMA fans know what’s going on and if you believe he’s clean, or anything that comes out of his mouth, I kind of feel sorry for the people that do. I don’t have a lot of respect for the guy. I like clean fighters. I like clean sport. I always fight clean and I always have and always will. I don’t have a lot of respect for cheaters.”
Luke Rockhold (12-2) is 3-1 in his last four fights. He beat Tim Kennedy via Unanimous Decision at Strikeforce – Rockhold vs. Kennedy on Jul / 14 / 2012, but lost to Vitor Belfort via knockout at UFC on FX 8 – Belfort vs. Rockhold on May / 18 / 2013. He then beat Costas Philippou via knockout at UFC Fight Night – Rockhold vs. Philippou on Jan / 15 / 2014 and then Tim Boetsch via Inverted Triangle Kimura at UFC 172 – Jones vs. Teixeira on Apr / 26 / 2014
Time will tell if this story goes anywhere or not.
