Gegard Mousasi is set to go to war with Mark Munoz at UFC Fight Night 41 this Saturday and he spoke about that upcoming fight.

Gegard Mousasi (34-4) He has 18 knockouts, 11 submissions and 5 decision victories, while he has never been knocked out, but submitted twice and lost by decision twice.

“This is not a wrestling fight, and if he wants to wrestle, he’s got to close the distance,” Mousasi said. “We’re going to see how that goes.”

Mousasi won his first two MMA fights, both by knockout. While in Pride he had a record of 2-1. He had six Strikeforce fights which he won two of those by knockout. He did lose to Muhammed Lawal AKA King Mo by unanimous decision in Apr / 17 / 2010. Prior to making his UFC debut he was on a three fight winning streak with wins over Hiroshi Izumi via TKO in 2011. He beat Ovince St. Preux via unanimous decision at Strikeforce – Melendez vs. Masvidal on Dec / 17 / 2011 and then Mike Kyle via rear naked choke at Strikeforce – Marquardt vs. Saffiedine on Jan / 12 / 2013. He made his UFC debut against Ilir Latifi which he won via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night – Machida vs. Mousasi on Feb / 15 / 2014, but in his last fight he lost to Lyoto Machida via unanimous decision at UFC on Fuel TV 9 – Mousasi vs. Latifi on Apr / 06 / 2013.
