There has been a change to UFC Fight Night 44, a flyweight fight between Ryan Benoit (7-3 MMA, 0-1 UFC) and Ray Borg (6-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) Has been called off due to Benoit being taken off the show.

Ryan Benoit has 6 knockouts, 1 submission victories in his MMA career. He made his UFC debut against Josh Sampo, but lost when he got caught with a Rear-Naked Choke submission in the 2nd Rd back in November. Prior to fighting in the UFC, he was 3-1 in his last four fights.

Shane Howell (13-7 MMA, 0-0 UFC) will replace Ryan Benoit on the show.

Ray Borg has 1 knockout, 4 submissions and 1 decision victories in his MMA career. Prior to joining the UFC, he was on a five fight winning streak. He made his UFC debut against and lost to Dustin Ortiz via split decision in April of this year.

Shane Howell has four knockouts, seven submissions and 2 wins by decision in his MMA career. This fight will be his UFC debut and prior to this fight, he was on a six fight winning streak. In the two fights prior to UFC 175 have ended in a TKO.
