Jorge Masvidal is coming off a win over Daron Cruickshank at UFC on Fox 12 and is looking for his next opponent. When asked who he would like to face, Masvidal said Donald Cerrone

“I just want to get back in there. I know [Donald] Cerrone needs a fight in September, so hopefully they can book me for that…I just need money. He needs a fight. I’m injury free, so I’m ready to go in September. He needs an opponent, so let’s go.”

Jorge Masvidal (27-8) has 10 knockouts, 2 submission and 15 decision victories while he has been knocked out eight times, submitted twice and lost by decision five times. Prior to joining the UFC he was 3-1 in his last four. He made his UFC debut against Tim Means via unanimous decision at UFC on Fox 7 – Henderson vs. Melendez on Apr / 20 / 2013 and then beat Michael Chiesa, via submission at UFC on Fox 8 – Johnson vs. Moraga on Jul / 27 / 2013. He lost to Rustam Khabilov via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night – Fight for the Troops 3 on Nov / 06 / 2013, but beat in his last fight Pat Healy via unanimous decision at UFC on Fox 11 – Werdum vs. Browne on Apr / 19 / 2014.

Cerrone (23-6-1) has three wins by knockout, 15 wins by submission and five by decision in his MMA career. In his last four fights he is 3-1, he lost to Rafael dos Anjos via unanimous decision back in August of 2013. Since then he has been on a three fight winning streak with wins over Evan Dunham via Triangle Choke back in November, then a 1st RD knockout win over Adriano Martins in January of this year. Then in his next fight he beat Edson Barboza via rear naked choke last month at UFC on Fox 11. He is coming off a win over Jim Miller at UFC Fight Night 45.
