After the one sided fight and down right dominate loss to Patrick Cummins at UFC on Fox 12, Kyle Kingsbury takes a moment and looks back on his MMA career.

“This was for me. This fight was for me, said Kingsbury. I wanted to see if I could go in there with a clear head and perform. In terms of what I was shooting for from a mental standpoint and an emotional standpoint, I definitely got what I was looking for, and on the biggest stage.”

Kyle Kingsbury (11-6) has been retired since 2012, he dropped three straight losses and decided to dive into retirement. He lost to Stephan Bonnar, Glover Teixeira and Jimi Manuwa. Now he is retired once again after losing to Patrick Cummins (6-1) at Saturday’s UFC on Fox 12.

“I loved every second of it, but I’m happy to move on. I don’t want to be that guy who’s 40 years old and that’s all he’s got. There’s more to life than fighting, at least for me.”

Time will tell if this is a permanent thing or if he will change his mind.
