In the co-main event of UFC Fight Night 48 in Macau, China, “The Chosen One” Tyron Woodley put his recent decision loss to Rory MacDonald in his rearview mirror with a vicious first-round TKO over Dong Hyun Kim.

Woodley finished the fight in just 61 seconds, after countering a spinning-back fist from Kim and dropping him with a perfectly timed shot, and unloading a barrage of right hands that finished the fight (live blog).

Kim’s original opponent for Macau was Hector Lombard, who had to pull out due to an injury.  Woodley got the call for the fight, and accepted immediately.

In his post-fight interview, Woodley said that he was in Singapore when he got the call, and that the UFC was actually doing him a favor by offering him the fight, saying:

“At the time, they thought I was helping them out, but they were helping me out.”

The fight lasted just over a minute, and Woodley quickly put an end to the winning streak of Dong Hyun Kim.
