For weeks heading into UFC 178, Conor McGregor went about trashing the abilities of Dustin Poirier, while the latter told any mic near him that he disliked the brash featherweight. Well, following McGregor’s quick, stoppage win over Poirier on Saturday night, the Irish fighter says the beef is squashed…

While talking to FOX Sports 1 after his greatest win to date, McGregor had this to say about Poirier and the win:

“There is no bad blood. This is business. We’re all chasing the same dream. I’ve never hated the guy. He came in shape. I spoke the truth. We’ll continue on the journey to the next guy.”

“It’s a beautiful feeling when preparation meets opportunity. I could see he didn’t want to be in there. Nobody has ever knocked him out.”

That’s a far departure from referring to Poirier as “P Head” huh?

All that aside, now it will be interesting to see who McGregor faces next…will he get the winner of Jose Aldo-Chad Mendes?
