Mauricio “Shogun” Rua may be one of the sport’s most accomplished fighters to date, but the former UFC champ has struggled as of late, and is 1-3 in his last 4 scraps.

Sure, Rua’s losses have come against top tier opposition in Dan Henderson, Alexander Gustafsson and Chael Sonnen, but losses aren’t doing much for the light-heavyweight’s ranking.

The one victory during this time came against James Te Huna in December, and it was the type of highlight reel, KO win which demonstrated Rua can still be one dangerous foe. You can watch the fight below.

“Shogun” is set to fight Ovince St. Preux this Saturday in Uberlandia, Brazil, and it’s a huge fight for both men. Rua needs a win to stave off further questions about his future in the sport, while OSP could really jump into the contender mix if he scores the upset.

Rua was initially scheduled to fight Jimi Manuwa at UFC FN 56, but after the latter was injured, the promotion moved OSP into the main event spot.
