Anyone who watched UFC Fight Night 57 last night knows that Frankie Edgar put on one of his finest performances to date, and as a result, the decorated fighter scored an extra $50,000.

Yes, not only did Edgar punish Cub Swanson throughout much of the bout, thanks to his wrestling and top game, but he finished the fight with a late, last second neck crank.

In ending Swanson’s six fight win streak, Edgar picked up a “Performance of the Night” and possibly a rematch with featherweight champ Jose Aldo.

The other “POTN” went to heavyweight Alexey Oliynyk, who buzzed the MMA world by knocking out Jared Rosholt in the opening round.

And, “Fight of the Night” went to strawweights Kailin Curran and Paige Vanzant for their memorable bout. The latter earned a TKO victory in round three.

UFC FN 57 went down at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas.
