According to what we’ve been hearing from Anderson Silva’s camp so far, the legendary fighter is as dangerous ever, and a new video clip seems to hit home that point. Or does it?

As you know, on January 31st at UFC 183, Silva will fight for the first time since he broke his leg while fighting Chris Weidman in December, 2013. Due to the severity of the injury, there’s been plenty of speculation as to whether the former champ is explosive and agile as before. People close to Silva have been saying he is, and recently Rafael Cavalcante relayed that “The Spider” is still “kicking f—ing hard’.

Now a video clip has surfaced which shows Silva flooring a sparring partner with a flying knee, and then continuing to hit him with punches. The clip, which you can watch below, was originally posted by Globo in Brazil.

Well, Alexander Gustafsson and Phil Davis were apparently shown the clip at a recent media luncheon, and evidently, they believe something is a little off.

According to a report from MMA, Davis argued that the sparring partner, who is apparently Douglas Moura, didn’t “looked knocked out.” Davis also questioned why Silva would continue to hit him, if indeed, he had just KO’d his sparring partner. Alliance MMA head coach,  Eric Del Fierro, also echoed that concern.

Gustafsson, meanwhile, reportedly joked that Silva gave Moura a “hundred bucks after practice” for making “The Spider” look good.

Well, the fascinating video aside, Silva will battle Diaz at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in the headliner for UFC 183.

Gustafsson is set to throw down with Anthony Johnson at UFC on FOX 14, which will be hosted by Stockholm’s Tele2 Arena on January 24th. Davis is scheduled to fight Ryan Bader that same night.
