If you watched the first episode for UFC 183’s “Embedded” series, then you had a good feeling that Nick Diaz missed at least one flight to Las Vegas…
Well, several hours later, not only has it been revealed that Diaz has missed his flight, he also no showed an open workout this afternoon…So, yeah, some things never change right?
According to a follow up report from MMA Junkie.com, Diaz’s agent has informed the promotion that the fighter is expected to arrive in Las Vegas later today. So in other words, don’t sound the alarm bell just yet.
UFC boss man Dana White recently appeared on The Jime Rome Show, and according to MMA Fighting.com, he confirmed that Diaz missed a taping session for “Embedded”. White also relayed that the fighter’s missed two flights, but confirmed that Diaz’s bags have shown up in Vegas. So that’s something right?
Diaz is scheduled to fight Anderson Silva in the headliner for UFC 183, which will be hosted by the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Diaz will be fighting for the first time since March, 2013, when he lost via unanimous decision to Georges St-Pierre.
Silva, meanwhile, hasn’t fought since December, 2013, when he broke his leg while fighting middleweight champ Chris Weidman.
