If you thought the big story in MMA was going to move past performance enhancing drugs in a day or two, well, think again. Yes, according to reports, the reason Hector Lombard has been pulled from an April 25th scrap with Rory MacDonald, is because he apparently failed a drug test last month.

MMA Fighting.com was the first to report that Lombard allegedly tested positive for the anabolic steroid, desoxymethyltestosterone, following his UFC 182 bout with Josh Burkman. That fight took place on January 3rd, and Lombard won it via unanimous decision.

The UFC has informed the outlet that they are trying to find a new opponent for MacDonald. Due to the cancellation of MacDonald-Lombard, a flyweight fight between Demetrious Johnson and Kyoji Horiguchi was added to UFC 186.

All this comes not long after Lombard announced on Instagram that he had been unaware his bout with MacDonald was even cancelled.

UFC 182 went down at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Lombard has not received a hearing date yet from the Nevada Commission.
