Alan Jouban put the crowd on their feet with a first round knockout courtesy of his left elbow.

Richard Walsh and Alan Jouban put their striking on display early on as they traded heavy body kicks. Walsh pushed forward pursuing a clinch, but Jouban quickly reversed him and exited with a vicious left elbow that put Walsh out on his feet. With the cage holding him up, Jouban teed off with a right and a left before referee “Big” John McCarthy could step in.

Jouban, a very exciting welterweight prospect, is definitely someone to keep an eye on. Even though he lost in Brazil – it was a very controversial decision and in many people’s eyes he is 3-0 in the UFC. With this impressive finish, Jouban moves up even further on everyone’s list.

Look for Jouban to be placed on the UFC card in Louisiana, Jouban’s hometown. Besides a few blocked body kicks, he didn’t take much damage.

Jouban’s first round KO over Richard Walsh took place at UFC 184 in Los Angeles, California, at the Staples Center.
