Just a few days ago it was reported that Bethe Correia has got the fight with Ronda Rousey that she wants, and today, the UFC has confirmed that the two will throw down on August 1st. In addition, the promotion has announced that, as rumored, “Shogun” Rua will face Antonio Rogerio “”Minotoro” Nogueira at the upcoming event.

The bouts will headline and co-headline UFC 190, which will be hosted by the HSCB Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Rousey (11-0) is coming off yet another, jaw dropping victory, as the bantamweight champ needed 14 seconds to tap out Cat Zingano at UFC 184. Correia (9-0), on the other hand, hasn’t fought since August when she stopped one of Rousey’s “Four Horsewomen”, Shayna Baszler.

Rua (22-10) is in desperate need of a win, as the former light-heavyweight champ has lost four of his last five, and was KO’d by Ovince St. Preux in his last outing.

Nogueira (21-6) is also coming off a brutal, knockout, as the renowned vet was quickly taken out by Anthony Johnson last July. “Lil Nog”, who battled Rua in 2005 and lost by UD, is -3 in his last 5 contests.

So, there you have it. Two fights which will surely sell a lot of tickets in Brazil. The main card for UFC 190 will be available via pay-per-view throughout North America.
