Unless you’re a MMA addict, chances are you hadn’t heard of Teddy Holder until last night or even right now…

Yes, Holder was tapped on ridiculously short notice to fight Thiago Silva at WSOF 19 last night, after the latter’s original opponent, Matt Hamill, fell ill. As you’ll see by watching the video below, not only did Holder go out and score an upset victory, he did so in the first round.

With the win, Holder improved his record to 9-1, while Silva’s fell to 16-4. It’s also worth noting that Silva hadn’t fought since October, 2013, following his well documented release from the UFC.
