Myles Jury is in the news, but not because he has a new fight booked, instead, the UFC’s #8 ranked lightweight has announced he’s dropping down to featherweight…

Yes, the surprising move was announced on Jury’s official website, as was the news that Jury has elected to leave Alliance MMA in San Diego.

According to the post, the 10-1 fighter has decided to relocate to Gilbert, Arizona and train with another all-star team, Power MMA. The announcement also says that Michael Chandler, Justin Lawrence and Johnny Case are also moving from Alliance to Power MMA. Interesting no?

All this comes after Jury was decisioned by Donald Cerrone in January, which ended the promising fighter’s sixth fight winning streak in official, UFC action. It will be interesting to see how Jury does at 145, considering what he accomplished at lightweight.
