Clearly Neil Magny wasn’t looking to take some time off, after he was tapped out by Demian Maia at UFC 190, as the welterweight has agreed to fight Erick Silva at UFC Fight Night 74. Yes, the card that takes place on August 23rd in Saskatoon…Meaning Magny will participate in two fights in just over a three week span (his bout with Maia took place on August 1st).

Silva was set to face Rick Story at the upcoming event, however, according to the promotion’s official announcement the latter has withdraw due to injury (no details were provided).

Of course, Magny (15-4) is used to keeping a busy schedule, as the welterweight has fought 8 times since 2013, and has gone 7-1 during that run. That’s not too shabby.

Silva (18-5) is looking to extend his winning streak to three, as the noted finisher is coming off wins over Mike Rhodes and Josh Koscheck.

So, there you have it. UFC FN 74 has a new co-main event. In the headliner, Max Holloway will take on fellow featherweight contender, Charles Oliveira.
