Gegard Mousasi continues to work his way back into the title shot conversation, as following his submission loss to middleweight contender “Jacare” Souza, the veteran has scored consecutive wins over Dan Henderson and Costas Philippou. Sure, some folks, including “Hendo”, thought their fight in January was stopped too quickly, but Mousasi is currently sitting in the #6 spot at 185.

Up next, “The Dreamcatcher” will take on Uriah Hall at UFC Fight Night 75 on September 27th, which will go down in Saitama, Japan. Hall is stepping up for the injured Roan Carneiro. It will be interesting to see how the fight unfolds, as Mousasi is also a talented striker like Hall, but he’s also pretty nasty on the ground.
