Nelson did his best to land his feared right hand, and even took Barnett down a couple of times, but the latter outworked and out struck “Big Country” in every round. As a result, “The Warmaster” was awarded the unanimous decision win.
The co-main event featured an upset, as Uriah Hall took out top ranked middleweight Gegard Mousasi.
In the opening round, it looked like Mousasi might cruise to the win, as he took Hall down and largely dominated from the top position.
Hall survived the round, however, and shortly into round two, he stunned Mousasi with a spinning kick to the face. Hall put Mousasi down with flying knee, and then prompted the ref’s intervention with follow up punches.
