Since Hector Lombard has said he’s not down for fighting Patrick Cote next, he’s called out another, welterweight contender.

After Cote (22-9) stopped Josh Burkman in August, he relayed he wanted to fight Lombard. Since then, however, the latter has said he wants to face Rory MacDonald.

Well, recently Cote took to Twitter, and delivered the following question to Jake Ellenberger:

As this was being written, Ellenberger (30-10) had to yet to respond to the challenge. “The Juggernaut” is coming off a highlight reel, KO loss to Stephen Thompson in July, after submitting Josh Koscheck in February. Ellenberger is ranked #14 at 170.

Cote, meanwhile, decisioned Joe Riggs this past April in his only other outing in 2015.
