Daniel Cormier – Jon Jones II doesn’t have a confirmed date yet, but apparently the latter is preparing to throw down on April 23rd…or so “Bones” says.

Not long ago, the UFC confirmed that it has reinstated Jones, but has yet to say when the former champ will make his Octagon return. Jones is expected to rematch the light-heavyweight champ Cormier, who he decisioned this past January.

Well, according to multiple reports, Jones recently posted the pic below as well as this comment on Instagram (he also reportedly deleted the post not long after, which, he’s been known to do).

“Off season 2013 vs. Off season 2015. Five more months to prepare for this win. I’ll be sure to be at my best April 23 #NewLevels.”

Interesting no? April 23rd is the day that the UFC is hoping to hold an event at Madison Square Gardens in New York City. The legal battle to get pro MMA up-and-running in New York state, however, continues. So, there’s that.

Another reason Jones could be trolling here is because Cormier’s said that he doesn’t think he should have to fight his rival, in his home state. The argument being that “DC” is the champ, and why should he have to go compete in a place that might give Jones a psychological boost.

It will be interesting to see what goes down. If MMA does get the green light in New York, however, you can bet the UFC would love to put Cormier-Jones II in MSG.
